Yellow seems to be my new go-to color these days and I just can't get enough of it.
(I need a new staging area....that vent and outlet are driving me nuts)!
My obsession/hobby/job of finding furniture to paint has rubbed off on my husband. He spotted this table and he suggested we get it. I have a rule of not buying more furniture until I sell furniture but he seems to ignore that little rule. Hey, don't get me wrong, I'm not complianing!
Wanna see more pictures? Okay!!!
I didn't make chalk paint this time. I like the chalk paint (especially the drying time) but you have to sand every entire inch that has been painted. I'm kinda getting tired of that!
I mixed two yellow "oops"colors (Texas Star & Buttery Yellow) with a brown glaze. I just blended the three colors until I got a color I liked. I made a huge batch so expect to see more furture yellow pieces. Seriously, I hope you like yellow!
BEFORE & AFTER
I have a pair of gray end tables I hope to post about soon so stay tuned!
What do you think.....are you catching the yellow fever?

I just realized why my mom has been on my mind so much the past month since blogging..... it's because I should of hung on to all her early American furniture and painted it all up! She would of liked that sunny yellow.

I love this little table! So cute - I'll be keeping my eye out next spring at yard sales for something similar. I'd love for you to share this at my very first link party.

ReplyDeleteI LOVE this... that paint color is fantastic. I appreciate your yellow fever. I think we all have old pieces of furniture like this one that we overlook because of the finish, but the actual piece itself is fantastic. Thanks so much for sharing this!
